We recently visited a brand-new resort in Moab, UT – a destination for adventurers and lounge-pros alike. Want to make the trip EXTRA fun for everyone? Here are some recommendations from your Extra Holidays Social Team. 1. Walk or Bike the Lion's Park Trail Visit Lions Park, located just around the corner from your WorldMark Associate resort, for a leisurely stroll. Between the Colorado River and surrounding red rocks, this path is the perfect mild activity to enjoy nature in close proximity to the resort. PRO TIP: Take photos on the trailhead bridge overlooking the Colorado River for a sunning backdrop. 2. Explore Downtown Moab To put it plainly, downtown Moab is a vibe. When strolling Main Street, you'll find shops filled with local artisan goods, unique local restaurants, and EXTRA-good coffee. Plus, don't forget to stop at the Food Truck Market for good eats and an even better photo op. 3. Hike Arches National Park Just 3 miles from The Moab Resort – WorldMark Associate, Arches National Park is a must-do experience. Even driving through the park you'll see red rock cliffs jutting from sprawling landscapes. If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike, there are 16 trails to choose from. We recommend researching in advance on the National Parks Service website. PRO TIP: For a quick and mild hike, try Sand Dune Arch and Broken Arch trails. If you're looking for a more rigorous hike with iconic views, venture onto Delicate Arch trail to see the famous arch featured all over Moab. It's so popular that it even made it on the official Utah license plate. 4. Take an Open-Top Jeep Tour The highest thrill-level we found was an open top Jeep Tour with Mild 2 Wild. We chose the morning half-day excursion on Onion Creek Trail and it was the perfect adventure that combined pulse-pounding adrenaline with breathtaking views. For those who may not be expert hikers, this is a great way to get into the terrain without a strenuous climb. Our jeep tour traversed through 27 creek crossings, up steep inclines, and even included a short hike through a rocky gorge. PRO TIP: Bring plenty of water as they do provide a cooler on-board. You'll thank us later! 5. Lounge at The Moab Resort – WorldMark Associate After a day of exploring the outdoors, The Moab Resort – WorldMark Associate is the perfect spot to lounge around and take in scenic views of iconic red rocks. Check out the pool and four hot tubs, roast s'mores at the fire pits, or wind down in your spacious suite-style accommodations. We hope you enjoyed our suggestions for your next Moab adventure.
