When I learned that I was traveling to Moab, Utah to explore a brand-new resort I didn't really know what to expect. All of my friends and family who have been to this destination camped or spent time “roughing it.” So, I wondered if you can truly get the Moab experience while staying at a resort with amenities? You absolutely can. Moab, Utah, and The Moab Resort – WorldMark Associate, are a nature-lover's paradise. Just 3 miles from Arches National Park, The Moab Resort – WorldMark Associate is a shining gem of this quaint tourist town, and was built perfectly to accommodate the locale. From its orange-y pink exterior that matches the areas iconic red rocks, to the subtle in-room touches, every detail was carefully crafted to immerse guests in the true Moab experience. Some of my favorite aspects of the resort are the conveniences of a home base. While the area is best known for its outdoor activities like hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, and camping, this resort affords area travelers the opportunity to experience the outdoors without giving up the creature comforts of home. Every unit has at least one bedroom, a full kitchen, dining table, living room, laundry, and balcony. For my travel party, this meant that we could hike through red rocks all day then come back to our condo to wash our dusty clothes, clean up in our private bathrooms, and enjoy a hot meal around a table together. We stayed in a two-bedroom condo, which you can see a full room tour video of here. Other aspects of this resort that feel right at home in Moab are the firepits, grills, and outdoor seating scattered throughout the property. The star of the show at this resort, though, is the pool. With ample seating and four – I repeat – four hot tubs, it is the perfect place to find reprieve from the hot desert sun, or soak sore muscles after a long day of outdoor adventures. We visited before the full-service restaurant had its grand opening, but soon you will also be able to enjoy a meal and cocktails from the pool deck featuring vistas of beautiful red rock cliffs. As someone who travels frequently, I can share with confidence that this experience is uniquely Moab. For those #ExtraHolidays travelers looking for an outdoor adventure with a comfortable home base, this brand-new resort is worth the trip. Watch the full #TravelTakeover here.
