On July 9, I made a reservation at the beautiful Heidelberg Inn at June Lake for the dates Sep. 27-Oct. 3rd. This reservation required immediate payment for the full stay. On Aug. 26th, due to travel constraints, I had to decrease the length of my stay to Sep. 30 - Oct. 3rd. At this time I was told that I would be issued a partial refund for the nights I would not be staying at the hotel. Since then, I have called Wyndham Extra Holidays twice about my refund, the most recent being on Sep. 23rd. Both times I was assured this refund would be issued in 3-5 business days. It is now Oct. 19, and I still have not received any refund. I have called the Heidelberg Inn and had a log discussion with the hotel manager. She assured me that I had to contact Wyndham Extra Holidays for the refund as they were the ones who made the booking. I have never had a hotel system in the US promise to issue a refund like this before and fail to do so. I am not sure what is going on with Wyndham Extra Holidays, but I would like to post this message as a caution to others who are considering using their services.
