Sevierville Calendar of Events

River Raft Regatta in Gatlinburg
Date: July 4, 2008

Beginning at the Christus Gardens bridge, a wild unmanned river raft race with everything from rubber ducks, floating rocks, and other unique boats will float along River Road ending at the Aquarium Bridge in Gatlinburg. The race is open to any floating device except for balls and plastic eggs. This is a great activity for the entire family, and registration begins at 11AM with the race beginning at noon.

Annual Patriot Festival at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge
Date: July 4, 2008

This annual event offers free admission to one of the biggest Fourth of July events in the Smoky Mountains. The day will kick off with a 5 p.m. performance by the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus. Other special events include a veterans and active duty military salute performance, special musical guests, fantastic All-American festival food, and much more. The highlight of the evening will, of course, be the grand finale fireworks over the Smoky Mountains at dusk!

Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival
Date: September 19-20, 2008

Once again this year, an incredible line up of some of the hottest bluegrass artists in the country is scheduled, including Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, The Grascals, The Bluegrass Brothers, Greenbrier, and more. Other artists booked include Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Audie Blaylock & Redline, the James King Band, and the Stringdusters! A full schedule of bluegrass workshops are also planned, and an extensive arts & crafts showcase is also scheduled. Food vendors will be featured on site, so plan on spending the entire weekend enjoying the unbelievable sounds of bluegrass, the tastes of the festival, and the sights of the top artists in the nation!

16th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival

Show off your big toys at the Pumpkin Festival Big Car Show and Motorcycle Show. Costume contests for both adults and children, live music, storytelling, dance exhibitions, artisans, pumpkin carving contests, relay races, talent show, many different games such as horse shoes or washer toss. There will be homemade, old-fashioned Halloween treats like candied apples, caramel apples and popcorn balls. We will end the evening with the lighting of the pumpkins and a good old-fashioned ghost story of local lore. 

Annual Mountain Festival and Pig Roast

Fun, family and fellowship highlight the Annual Mountain Festival and Pig Roast featuring hot food, live music, a large silent auction and the charming atmosphere of the Smoky Mountains. Hundreds of people turn out for this annual event which includes children's activities, a community outreach center and much more for the entire family! This October bring the entire family to Sevierville for all of the fun activities of the Annual Mountain Festival and Pig Roast.
