Arizona deserts are known for sun, spectacle and heat, but no humidity. Lake Havasu is home to the world-famous London Bridge which is a major tourist attraction year round. You may feel like you are the depths of the desert, but crystal blue waters abound. Lake Havasu enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine per year, offering many outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, biking, hiking, walking, and touring. The lake offers you more than 400 miles of stunning coastline and endless opportunities for something to do, such as water sports, fishing, skiing, kayaking and house boating.
You can also explore the lake from the beaches, campsites and hiking trails, or just sit by the water and relax. Early mines and mining towns are scattered in the desert to the north and east of Havasu: the most famous of these is Oatman. Lake Havasu National Wildlife Refuge provides areas where one can explore the rugged terrain where birds and small game flourish.
