Fort Ward - The best preserved of the system of Union forts and batteries built to protect Washington, DC during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Come and experience the civil war through programs, tours and exhibits. The whole family will be fascinated with the history contained within Fort Ward Museum.

Potomac Riverboat Company – The oldest riverboat company in DC that offers private cruises for your next special occasion, offering a memorable experience for the whole family. They also offer regular charter boat tours that cruise the Potomac River. 

Alexandria Symphony Orchestra – Culture at its finest, this is Northern Virginia’s premiere professional orchestra. They offer a mix of classical and contemporary music to its patrons. The Alexandria Symphony Orchestra produces eight concerts (five regular each season, the Alexandria Birthday Concert, the Holiday Concert, and the Children's Festival) each year.

Little Theatre of Alexandria - The oldest theater in Washington metro, which offers a 7-show season that is sure to please everyone! The theater offers full productions with amazing sets and costumes, and last minute tickets are usually available for visitors.

United States Patent and Trademark Office Museum - An educational experience that should not be missed when visiting Alexandria.
