Located 45 miles southeast of Asheville, Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains is surrounded by wooded scenery so lovely, it has served as the location for several hit movies, including Dirty Dancing and Last of the Mohicans. The heart of this lovely 2,400-acre hideaway is Lake Lure, a postcard-perfect oasis where canoes and pontoon boats quietly glide across its still waters. Deer and other wildlife are as much at home here as our guests. In spite of such abundant tranquility, there is much to do.

Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains is accessible from Interstate Hwy. 26 and 40. From I-26, take Exit. #67 (Columbus / Tryon). Turn onto Hwy. #108E, go 6 mi. to Mill Spring, NC. Turn onto Hwy. #9N, go 11 mi. Turn right on Hwy. #64 / 74-A East. Turn left onto Bill's Creek Rd. (State Rd. #1008), go 2.5 mi. and turn left onto Buffalo Creek Rd.. Go 1 mi. to the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains Information Center on the left. From I-40, take the Marion/Sugarhill Exit #81. Turn south off exit ramp onto Sugar Hill Rd. (State Rd. #1001), go 4.5 mi. Turn right again and continue on Sugar Hill/Montford Cove Rd. Go 7 mi. and turn right onto Bill's Creek Rd.. (State Rd. #1008). After 7.5 mi., turn right onto Buffalo Creek Rd., then 1 mi. to the Registration Office located in the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains Information Center on the left. From I-85, take I-85S out of Charlotte to 74W at Kings Mt. Follow until the Forest City/Spindale exit. Take 74A west to Bill's Creek Rd. (approx. 17 mi.), turn right. Go approx. 2.5 mi. to Buffalo Creek Rd. Turn left on Buffalo Creek Rd. Welcome Center will be 1 mile to the left.
